OLS Principal
As an OLS alumnus and parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows, Mr. Brian Groothousen has a deep and longstanding connection to the OLS community. He graduated from OLS nearly 35 years ago and has been a member of the parish cluster for 45 years.
Before joining OLS, Mr. Groothousen spent 26 years as a science and technology education teacher. He earned his undergraduate degree from UW–River Falls in Broadfield Physical Science, with minors in Physics and Chemistry, and his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Fielding Graduate University.
Outside of school, Mr. Groothousen enjoys biking, hiking, kayaking, and fishing with his wife, Danielle, and their two sons, Clark and Finn. He is also active in the community, volunteering with the Knights of Columbus, serving on a variety of city committees, and helping maintain local skiing and hiking trails through the Ladysmith Area Trail Association.
Mr. Groothousen is grateful to be part of the OLS community and looks forward to serving alongside the wonderful staff, students, and families of OLS.
